Nail Fungus Removal

Nail fungus, also called onychomycosis, is a common infection of the nail by fungi. A fungal infection in the nail can cause the nail to change color, get thicker, or become warped. The nail may break easily and over time, may even become separated from the nail bed. It is important to have your nails medically evaluated in order to identify potential infections, as well as skin cancers and other skin conditions, that can occur in the nails. Biting or chewing nails, cutting cuticles, and biting hangnails should also be avoided, because they contribute to the spread of infections. Finally, wearing shoes made of breathable materials and sweat-absorbing socks can lower the chance of developing a fungal infection.

I really appreciate the polite and professional service that Dr. Bajoghli’s practice provides in my dermatologic health. All of his staff make you feel welcome and are concerned for your care. Speaking as someone who neglected his skin care when I was young, I appreciate having a physician who is personally concerned for his patients.
